When you keep doing the same thing again and again, challenges seem to be on the verge of 'the end'. Something of a similar kind happened after one-and-a-half years after I started 'Pooches N More'.......the paisa wasool pet shop in Laketown , Kolkata. It is as if I have raised a baby for a while now.......struggling, growing and living every moment of life for it, with it! After I decided to quit practicing as a full time gynaecologist, Pooches was like my second innings in life. It was a breath of fresh air. Amidst a lot of disagreement and discouragement, it was worth all the risk!
It's time to adorn a new role in life. Whenever I cooked for Chiku, my 2 year old Golden retriever, she ate it with a lot of pleasure. I often thought what difference does a mother's touch make to the meal that was served to her. But her sparkling eyes and the way she would gobble up all the food made me realize there must be something 'special'. This was the inspiration behind starting Doggie Tiffins that promises to serve fresh, home-cooked healthy food with a touch of 'Mother's love'. Though it is an absolutely new concept in Kolkata, I sincerely hope that all dog lovers would find a similar bliss when they see their pooch gobbling up the stuff........just the way I feel when I see Chiku doing that!
Our first endeavor was initiated on the occasion of Christmas. We presented SPECIAL SUGAR-FREE, FAT-FREE MISCHIEF CAKES for doggies........and it was a great hit! Clients were happy.......and so were their doggies. The vanilla and strawberry flavoured cakes were much appreciated and we happened to sell more than 75 cakes on the first go. It was a great sense of happiness to me. A sense of satisfaction that all mothers feel when they cook for their children and finally enjoy seeing them have it with great pleasure.
